Use the Internet
to track a bill

With the state Legislature churning toward what many hope will be its final days, there is still time for you to check on your favorite piece of legislation.

Thanks to the system set up by the Hawaii Government Employees Association at http://www.hgea.org/legis.html, you can retrieve the complete text or current status of any bill.

If you know the bill number, fill in the form. Then the HGEA Web site takes over. It will gather up all the information and send it to you as an e-mail.

Slow and archaic, but effective and until the Legislature catches up with Internet technology, this is as good as it gets.
