Northwest pilots try
bilingual picketing

Northwest Airlines pilots took their informational picketing
campaign to Honolulu Airport yesterday. The Air Line Pilots
Association said it chose the Japanese Golden Week holiday
to tell passengers about the slow pace of contract talks with
the airline. The pilots have been in negotiations since 1996
and in federal mediation since 1997.
