
The Associated University Women is staging its annual fashion show scholarship benefit May 2 at the Sheraton Waikiki Hawaii Ballroom. Howell presents galaxy of color
"Fashion Galaxy" will feature Hawaiian and contemporary designs by Mamo Howell. Different colors represent nine planets and the sun is represented by model Erica Davis in a one-shoulder sarong-sheath of luminous gold satin and a yellow halo of orchids.
Boutique sales in the lobby will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Doors to the ballroom open at 11:15 a.m. for entertainment by the Royal Hawaiian Band. Lunch is at noon, followed by the fashion show.
Tickets are $40 and $50 or $600 for a table of 10 with rampside seating. For information and reservations, call 988-6197.
