HPU CLINCHES: The Hawaii Pacific University softball team clinched a berth in the NAIA Far West Regional, May 7-9 in California, by winning the second game of a doubleheader against Chaminade yesterday.
The Sea Warriors (29-15) used the seven-hit pitching of Raquel De La Garza for a 4-2 win over the Silverswords (22-20).
Chaminade won the first game, 1-0, as Karen Limon threw a two-hitter.
