Managing Straub's operations

Dr. Gordon G. Yenokida comes from Bakersfield, Calif., to manage the day-to-day operations of Straub's clinics and hospital. He also is responsible for clinical resource utilization and managed care.

"We want to ensure that Straub provides excellent patient care by embracing the four simple words: care, believe, learn and do," Yenokida said.

He has 22 years in health care and most recently was medical director of the Bakersfield California Family Medical Center with a 75-member independent physician association and specialty network of more than 250 physician specialists.

Yenokida was trained in internal medicine and served as chief resident at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. From 1980 to 1983, he was a clinical associate at the National Cancer Institute.

He earned his medical degree from the University of California at Davis.
