Patsy Narimatsu takes a newly created position at the Outrigger Hotels & Resorts' Prince Kuhio Hotel. It is the only Outrigger hotel in Waikiki with banquet facilities, and can accommodate 600 persons. Selling a new face for Outrigger
The hotel starts renovation of guest rooms in April, and will be renovating meeting facilities, the lobby and restaurants next year. Total cost is $7 million.
"I'll be reviewing the existing markets (corporate, wholesale and groups) so I can evaluate in what direction to go," Narimatsu said.
She has more than 10 years in the travel industry, most recently as regional sales manager for Village Resorts Inc. on Maui and Kauai. Narimatsu also was director of meetings and incentives for HTH Corp., and held sales positions with Akamai Tours and Kona Surf Resort and Country Club.
Outrigger has more than 9,000 hotel rooms and condo units in Hawaii.
