Aunty Irmgard celebrated
on Windward side

The Windward community honors one of its own, "Aunty" Irmgard Aluli, 3 p.m. March 8 at Ron E. Bright Auditorium, Castle High School.

Tickets, $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and younger, may be purchased at Agnes' Bakery, Buzz's Steak House and Pali Florist in Kailua. Or send a self-addressed, stamped envelope and a check made out to Windward Community Arts Council to: WCAC, 53 Wilikoki Place, Kailua, HI 96734.

Many of the 300 songs Aluli has written will be performed in the two-hour program hosted by Keola Beamer and Hailama Farden. The tribute features Aluli and Farden family members Pia Aluli, 'Elua Kane, Hailama Farden, Holoaumoku, Na Hokupa, Pa'ahana, Puamana and Elena. Other performers include Willie K and Amy Gilliom; Ron Bright's Kids, "Movie Time"; Halau Mohala Ilima and the St. Anthony Church choir.
