Mark Troedson heads the Hawaii Fashion Industry Association as its member companies are optimistic on growth. Helping clothiers stay in fashion
"The most significant change in the fashion industry is the export growth," Troedson said. "Most companies in Hawaii are flat in our current economy but in our industry some companies are reporting increases of 35 to 40 percent this past year."
Troedson is marketing director-Pacific region for Tori Richard Ltd. which takes him on frequent sales trips. This month he will be in Tokyo for the 18th annual United States apparel show.
He has worked 18 years for Tori Richard and four years with Iolani Sportswear. He also is a past president of the Kalanianaole Athletic Club.
The Hawaii Fashion Industry Association is a non-profit corporation which promotes garment, fabric, jewelry, gift and accessory manufacturers.
