Celebrate Chinese New Year

The Chinatown Cultural Plaza celebrates Chinese New Year with firecrackers, a lion dance and an appearance by the Narcissus Queen and her court at 6 p.m. tomorrow. Entertainment runs from 5 to 10:30 p.m.

The celebration continues noon-11 p.m. Saturday with more entertainment and, at 9 p.m., another appearance by the Narcissus court.

Sixty thousand firecrackers, a Chinese lion dance and fortune cookies welcome the new year at 10 a.m. Saturday at Market City Shopping Center.

Narcissus Queen Kit Zhu Lan Lo, a lion dance and 10,000 firecrackers. help the Hilton Hawaiian Village greet the new year at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Traditional Chinese crafts will

be demonstrated 10 a.m.-4 p.m. that day in the main lobby of the hotel.
