In Diamond Head Theatre's spotlight

The Diamond Head Theatre has hired Marilyn D. Muttick to oversee volunteers and to raise money for the nonprofit theater, which is in its 83rd year.

"Our volunteer base is incredible," Muttick said. "They are so willing, enthused and committed. Many of them have been with the theater for 25 and 30 years."

Muttick said the next fund-raiser is a benefit to start the "Damn Yankees" production, May 8-24.

She replaces Kathy Grimes who left the theater in September.

For the past five years, Muttick operated her own small business manufacturing, wholesaling and distributing gift items.

She also has served as director of the Family Center, a project of the Hawaii Community Services Council.

Muttick earned a bachelor's degree in international business from the University of Hawaii.
