Big Island

Windward Kohala, Hamakua, Hilo and Puna: Partly cloudy with a few showers tonight and tomorrow.

Leeward Kohala, Kona and Kau: Clearing tonight. Sunny tomorrow morning, then afternoon cloudy periods and brief upslope showers.

Winds locally variable 5-15 mph in Hilo and Kona areas; elsewhere, trades 10-25 mph.

Caution is advised for all Hawaiian waters, due to marginal wind and sea conditions.

Coastal waters: Tonight and tomorrow, east winds 15-20 knots, seas 4-8 feet, a few windward showers.

Channels between the islands: East winds 20-25 knots, seas 8-12 feet tonight and tomorrow.

Volcano

Lava is flowing seven miles from the eruption site to the sea. The flow is occasionally visible at night.
