James M. Akisada, 60, of Waipahu, a general maintenance man for the state Housing Division, died Sunday in Queen’s Hospital. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by brothers George K., Richard K., Howard K., Harry I. and John T., and sister Frances H. Service: 6 p.m. Tuesday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Casual attire. No flowers.

Bertha Aludino, 66, of Kohala, a former employee of the Ritz-Carlton at Mauna Lani Resort, died Dec. 17 in Kohala Hospital. She was born in Kalopa. She is survived by daughters Mary Botelho, Vivian Fisher and Grace Miller; sons Wade, Eric and Norman; sister Mary Villacorte; brother Don Cruz, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Private services.

Lucy C. Botelho, 88, of Halaula-Kohala, died Tuesday at home. She was born in Kohala. She is survived by sons Benjamin J., Wallace and David; daughter Joanne Morikawa; brothers Frank Coito and George Coit; sisters Annie Soares, Mary Robertson and Elizabeth DeMello, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Service: 7 p.m. Monday at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Hawi. Call after 6 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Burial: Seventh-day Adventist Church cemetery. Casual attire. No flowers.

Haruko Ibara, 79, of Kahului, died Tuesday at Queen’s Hospital. She was born in Sprecklesville, Maui. She was a member of the Mantokuji Soto Mission. Survived by son James; daughters Patricia Kaneko and Lucille Shimabukuro, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Service: 4 p.m. Sunday at Mantokuji Soto Mission. No flowers. Casual attire.

Teruko Kunitake, of Kahului, who died Sunday in Hale Nani Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, will be remembered in services at 5 p.m. Monday at Nakamura Mortuary. Incorrect information was provided for the obituary published yesterday.

Violet M. Okamura, 78, of Kalaheo, Kauai, died Tuesday at Hale Omao Care Home. She was born in Honolulu. She was an educational assistant with Waimea High School. She is survived by husband Paul; daughters Sharon and Carol; sons Cleve and Alvan, and brothers Tokuichi, Steve and Joe Hayashi. Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3 at the Koloa Union Church. Aloha attire. No flowers.

John M. Rife, 55, of Waimanalo, died Dec. 18. He was born in Philadelphia. He was a former vice president of the Bank of Hawaii and also had been with First Hawaiian Bank and the Chase Manhattan Bank. Survived by brother Charles P. Craig. Private scattering of ashes.
