Christmas is a time of year,
When everyone is filled with holiday cheer.Laughing, singing, having fun,
Toys and joys for everyone.Sharing and giving to people in need,
Helping others with a kind deed.Gathering around the Christmas tree,
Being thankful for friends and family.Remembering the lover from the start,
The Gift of Christmas comes from our heart!
Christmas brings us many things,
Gameboys, dolls and jitter rings. It brings us cards from far and near,
But to me the gift of Christmas is love and cheer. My gift of Christmas is not a toy,
My gift of Christmas is love, hope and joy.Whatever you say can't change my mind,
the gift of Christmas is being kind. This gift is neither cheap nor small,
And this gift is the very best of all!
The gift of Christmas does not have to be toys
It can be a hug or a smile
Santa visits here and there
To give presents to good girls and boysIt is a time for visiting people who have no home
Or families getting together
It is a time to be thankful for what we have
A time for caring and sharing
A time to care of each other
Christmas wonder fills the air
With excitement for all to shareFriends and family join together
With a love that bonds foreverAppreciating the gift that we get
As we think of those less fortunateGiving, caring and spreading love
Are the things we feel most proud ofThe Gift of Christmas as you can see
Is something very special to me.
