with dose of citrusSunkist suggests broiled grapefruit toppings of 2 teaspoons of brown sugar, or 2 teaspoons of sugar with a teaspoon of rum, or 2 teaspoons of sugar with a dash of cinnamon.
Also, top a chilled grapefruit half with 1 tablespoon of fruit-flavored brandy or liqueur, or creme de menthe.
For a festive ambrosia, sprinkle 1/4 cup powdered sugar over grapefruit sections from two fruits. Add sliced papaya and 1/4 cup port wine, then refrigerate. Before serving, toss with walnuts and shredded coconut to taste.
Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice is best because the vitamin C doesn't get a chance to oxidize. Unless, of course, canned or frozen juices have been fortified with vitamin C.

For a quick and tasty stir-fry, wok up a combo of bok choy (Chinese white stem cabbage) at 99 cents a pound and Hawaiian ama ebi deep-sea shrimp at $11.99 for a 2.2-pound frozen box a both at Star Markets.
