"Hawaii's attractions industry is a major component of our tourism economy, providing thousands of jobs and millions of dollars in income," Lum said.
She has 20 years experience in the travel industry, working at Ihilani Resort & Spa, RockResorts/Lanai Resort Partners and Halekulani. Lum most recently was vice president for development and external affairs at Pan-Pacific Hoteliers.
Lum will continue her marketing consultant business, Lori Lum & Associates.
The nonprofit Hawaii Attractions Association was founded in 1990, and includes 20 attractions with more than 6,000 employees. Members attract 8.5 million visits per year and spend more than $15 million annually in advertising and promotions.
