CaneFires,
Stingrays hang on

Nobuhiko Matsunaka drove in four runs as the West Oahu CaneFires beat the Honolulu Sharks, 10-1, in Hawaii Winter Baseball action yesterday at Hans L'Orange Park.

The West Oahu win kept the Sharks from clinching the Outrigger Division title.

Stingrays 3, Stars 1: At Hilo, Ricky Stone pitched seven strong innings and Joe Funaro helped out with three hits as Maui won, preventing the Stars from clinching the Volcano Division title..

Stone gave up only three singles and one earned run.
