Maui chef on morning TV

Maui chef/restaurateur Beverly Gannon shows how to "Wrap 'n' Roll" for the holidays on "Good Morning, Hawaii" airing 5 to 7 a.m. Dec. 10 on KITV. (See "Morsels" for related event.)

"You can wrap just about anything in a soft tortilla," says Gannon, chef/co-owner of Hali'imaile General Store, and Joe's Bar & Brill in Wailea.

Gannon also is featured in a new coffee table cookbook, "Women of Taste -- Recipes & Profiles of Famous Women Chefs" by Beverly Russell (Wiley, October 1997, $35).

She shares billing with 32 chefs from a dozen U.S. and Canadian cities, and shares recipes for Island Seafood Paella, duck spring rolls, pineapple-citrus sauce, and sweet Thai chile sauce.
