Maui starting pitcher Luther Hackman tossed six shutout innings, giving up only two hits, and two relievers came on to preserve a 1-0 win over the West Oahu CaneFires yesterday at Iron Maehara Stadium in Wailuku.

Casey Snow provided the Stars only run with a home run in the second inning.

Paul O'Malley and three relievers held the Honolulu Sharks in check in a 3-1 win at Rainbow Stadium.

Tucker Barr drove in two runs, one on a bloop single in the eighth inning and another with a single in the ninth.
