He didn't fill out the ballot but takes money

Clayton Wong couldn't have been more surprised when he got the call from the Star-Bulletin yesterday informing him that he had won the week No. 13 Football Fever contest and $500 cash.

After all, he hadn't even entered the contest.

"My dad did," said the 45-year-old Wong, a fiscal officer for the City and County. "I don't even follow football anymore."

Wong's 81-year father, Lawrence, a retired lithographer, makes a hobby of entering his kin in a variety of contests.

"He enters me, my mom and my sister," said Wong, who has won coolers and beach towels in the past, courtesy of his father.

Wong's entry had a 9-1 score, which qualified him for the weekly random drawing for the money. He had to equal or better the best celebrity panelist record this week - 7-3 by KITV's Shawn Ching.
