Daniel L. Colin brings 35 years of lending experience to the leadership of the Hawaii League of Savings Institutions. In league with isle home lenders
"The league represents the savings institutions in Hawaii whose No. 1 goal is to bring home ownership to the people of Hawaii," Colin said.
The Hawaii league is made up of four thrifts: American and First Federal, both with federal charters, and International and Territorial, both with state charters.
Colin has been president of Territorial Savings and Loan since 1985. He got his start in lending in the San Francisco Bay area working for two thrifts before coming to Hawaii in 1974.
After working for the Hawaii Corp. and Fidelity Savings & Loan, Colin joined Territorial in 1982 as executive vice president. He has a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting from San Francisco State University.
Colin and his wife, Carolyn, have three grown children.
