Sharks hit five HRs,
win 16-12

Damon Minor socked two of five Honolulu homers and the Sharks scored nine runs in the fourth inning yesterday to outslug West Oahu, 16-12, at Hans L'Orange Park, snapping a seven-game losing streak and the CaneFires' seven-game win streak.

Minor's two-run homer capped the nine-run fourth.

Norm Hutchins, Carlos Villalobos and Gabe Kapler also homered in Honolulu's 18-hit attack.

Stingrays 9, Stars 1: At Iron Maehara Stadium on Maui, Calvin Pickering hit a two-run homer, his league-leading seventh of the season; Randy Winn doubled home two more runs and Roberto Colina had a double and triple to trigger the Stingrays.
