Full speed ahead at Coon Bros.

Randolph Coon takes over the daily operations of Coon Bros. Inc. which is the parent company for Trilogy Excursions on Maui and Trilogy Ocean Sports Inc. for the Lanai operations.

Trilogy operates five catamarans on Maui and is expanding with new vessels.

"We're taking delivery on a new dive boat and adventure raft vessel in November," Coon said.

"We're also building a pavilion facility at the Manele Harbor on Lanai and that should be completed in the spring."

He said the company also is expanding into eco-rafting, sailing and diving.

Coon works with his brother James, who is chairman and chief executive officer.

They grew up in Alaska with their father's charter boat business, spent two years in the South Pacific and came to Hawaii in 1972. They started Trilogy in 1973.
