UH GOLFERS FOURTH: The University of Hawaii women's golf team was fourth in a field of six after yesterday's first-round of the Princeville Rainbow Wahine Fall Classic on Kauai.

Miami led the way with a score of 298, followed by Central Florida (304) and Brigham Young (306) and Hawaii (311).

UH junior Melissa Shintani shot a 3-over-par 75, good for a share of fourth in the individual standings, to pace the Wahine. Central Florida's Line Berg had a 72 for the lead.

The final two rounds of the tournament will be played today.

BYUH BASKETBALL TEAM WINS: Paulasi Matavao scored 23 points, Brandyn Akana hit for 21 and David Evans added 20, leading Brigham Young-Hawaii to a 115-107 exhibition basketball victory over the Five Star club team last night at Cannon Activities Center in Laie.
