Hon Chung Chee, 80, of Honolulu, retired Postal Service district manager and postmaster, died Oct. 7 in New York. In 1982 he was named federal retiree of the year. He led the Postal Service Pacific district through reorganization, expansion and improved mechanization. He also served in World War II and attained the rank of captain in the Army Air Force. Born in Waialua, he is survived by wife Agnes; sons Russell and Douglas; daughters Liane Hata and Cheryl Tsutsumi; brothers Hon Hoong, Hon Ting, Hon Ping and Percival; sisters Mew Heong Goo and Mew Lan Young; and four grandchildren. John L.R. “Larry” de Arellano, 37, of Honolulu, a waiter for Stuart Anderson’s Cattle Company restaurant, died Thursday in Queen’s Hospital. Born in Puerto Rico, he is survived by wife Rose A.; daughters Tatiana L. and Kirra K.; father Lorenzo; mother Elizabeth Sabater; and sisters Elizabeth Maldonaldo and Susan and Laura de Arellano. Wataru Fujinaka, 67, of Kapaa, Kauai, retired laundry assistant manager with the state, died Thursday at home. Born in Kapaa, he is survived by wife Mazie;

daughters Faith Nakamura, Donna Silva and Gayle Medeiros; sisters Harue Fong and Asako Takeuchi; brother Matsuo; and five grandchildren. Services: 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at Kapaa United Church of Christ. Call after 2:30 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.

Kenneth K. Kaleikini, 59, of Waianae, an employee of Trans-Hawaii Tours, died Oct. 23 in Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center. Herbert H.O. Lum, 90, of Honolulu, a retired meat cutter for C.Q. Yee Hop Co., died Oct. 24 in St. Francis Hospital. Born in China, he is survived by wife Sui Chan Lau; sons Ben H. and Benny; daughter Sharlene Ma; brothers Wai Tong and Wai Hop; sister See Moi Wong Young; stepmother Siu Wah Wong; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Eassie A.M. “Moli” Miller, 77, of Honolulu, a tour escort, died Oct. 22 in Honolulu. Martha K. Oshiro, 72, of Aiea, a retired secretary for Camp Smith,

Born in Honolulu, she is survived by husband Clarence M.; daughter Carol; brothers Donald, Larry, Bernard, Albert and Walter Kim; sisters Annie Chir, Eleanor Tong and Bertha Sakumoto; and a grandson. Thomas Pagampao, 65, of Honolulu, a retiree of Kamehameha Schools, died Monday in Kaiser Hospital. Born in Lanai City, he is survived by companion Mary Salangron; sisters Rosal Vergara, Josephine Baron, Leonora Agliam and Lou Dugay; and brothers Calalino and Fernando. Kenneth M. Rawlins, 69, of Honolulu, a general contractor at Hickam Air Force Base civil service, died Thursday at home. Frederick T. Kurosu,87, of Honolulu, a retired carpenter for Nakakura Construction Co., died Wednesday at Pearl City Nursing Home.
