If you find your way to http://www.ebig.com, you will be running a "fast, state-of-the-art search and retrieval system with reliable reviews, ratings and the most well-structured outline found on any Web directory," as the Britannica folks describe their site.
Besides running quick and comprehensive searches, the Web pages located have all been examined by a Britannica editor or contributor, so there is some assurance you're not getting the ravings of some Internet goofball.
Parents will also be relieved to know that the Britannica Internet Guide does not include explicitly pornographic or violent sites, a problem when younger students are doing Internet searches.
