was perfect in Football Fever contestTakahashi, a 53-year-old Waipahu resident who works for an air conditioning company, scored a perfect 10 in her Football Fever contest entry this week. That qualified her for the weekly random drawing and she came out $500 richer.
"More shopping money, I guess," she said with a laugh.
Takahashi had to have a 9-1 or 10-0 record this week because Star-Bulletin sports editor Joe Edwards topped the celebrity panel by getting nine of 10 game predictions correct.
There were 17,848 entries this week.

DILLINGHAM TENNIS: The main draw of the 45th annual Dillingham Tennis Championships will be held at Punahou School, Saturday through Monday.
Among those competing for the men's title will be defending champion Eric Sandblom of Hawaii Pacific University, and David Lam, last year's No. 1-ranked men's singles player in Hawaii.
First matches of the day begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. Sunday and Monday.
WAIKOLOA OPEN: The 24th annual Waikoloa Open golf championship, a 54-hole event, will be held Oct. 17-19 at the Waikoloa Village Course.
The largest professional purse in the tournament's history, $25,000, will be up for grabs as well as prizes for the amateurs in the field.
Kevin Hayashi, the 1996 champion and a two-time winner, returns to defend his title.

MAUI INVITATIONAL TICKETS: Tickets to the Maui Invitational Basketball Tournament, with a field that includes 1997 national champion Arizona, NCAA runner-up Kentucky, Missouri and Duke, will go on sale at 10 a.m., Oct. 24, at the Hard Rock Cafe in Lahaina and at TCBY in Kahului.
There will be a limit of two tickets per person, cash sales only.
The tournament, which also features DePaul, Boston College, George Washington and host Chaminade, will be played Nov. 24-26 at the Lahaina Civic Center.
TENNIS CHANGE: The Hawaii Open & Class Tennis Championship originally scheduled for Oct. 15 has been rescheduled for Oct. 25 and 26 at the Mauna Loa Village's Hawaii Tennis Club on the Big Island.

XTERRA CHAMPIONSHIPS: The latest in the evolution of multi-sport events continues with the XTERRA Championships at Wailea, Maui, Oct. 26.
The event includes a 1.5-kilometer ocean swim, a 30-kilometer mountain-bike ride and an 11-kilometer cross-country run.
The championships are the final event in the week-long Maui Sports Festival, Oct. 18-26.
BASEBALL TEAM BENEFIT: The HPU Power Club golf tournament is set for Oct. 28 with a noon shotgun start at the Leilehua Course.
This is a benefit for the Hawaii Pacific University baseball team.
The fees are $100 per person, $300 per team. The format is a three-person scramble.
