You know who they are. Those people who have to reveal the ending of a movie, knowing you plan to watch it yourself. You don't have to take it anymore. How to put a spell
on the one you love . . .. . . and a hex on the one you hate
Sophia, author of "The Little Book of Hexes for Women" and "The Little Book of Love Spells," has a hex that will silence those blabber mouths. All you need is a small piece of yarn or thread and the magical incantation provided in Sophia's book. Ta da! No more movie spoilers!
Most of Sophia's hexes and spells are easy to do and use common items like pens, candles and various oils/spices. You don't need to search for bat wings or use gross things like lizard guts or roach droppings.
For instance, to "Banish a Troublesome Co-worker or Acquaintance," recite "Leave me alone! Leave me in peace! Find another way to spread your disease!" while cutting out a paper doll with a pair of scissors and writing the troublesome person's name on the doll.
Then, burn the doll while you visualize the person going away, and throw the ashes to the wind. The person will not disappear, but may begin to ignore you.
In "The Little Book of Love Spells," a piece of purple paper, a pink pen, a small cloth bag and some lavender will get you your dream lover.
Or, if you are trying to get rid of the guy who thinks he is your dream lover, all you need is an item of his, a penny and a small, watertight container.
Other spells and hexes include ways "To Catch the Eye of Another," "Unite E-Mail Lovers," "Make 'Em Come Back for More" and " 'Fix' Just Downright Mean People."
Both books are published by Andrews McMeel Publishing and cost $9.95 each.
