Chaminade University will be the local host of Fortune magazine's second annual "World Lessons in Leadership Series," featuring top business thinkers discussing the global economy.

The Boston forum will be shown via closed-circuit television Oct. 27-28 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The event starts at 8:45 a.m. each day.

Speakers on the first day include: Ken Blanchard, author of 15 best sellers; Stephen Covey, author of "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People"; Peter Drucker, author and expert on managerial innovation; Gary Hamel, associate professor at the London Business School; Rosabeth Moss Kanter, professor at the Harvard Business School; and Kenichi Ohmae, chairman of Reform of Heisei, a citizen political movement working toward reform of Japan's political and administrative systems.

Second-day speakers include: Tom Peters, author of "In Search of Excellence"; and Peter Senge, director of the Center for Organizational Learning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management.

Three business leaders also will hold a panel session Oct. 28, part of the annual Fortune 500 Forum. They are: Lewis E. Platt of Hewlett-Packard Co., John M. Trani of Stanley Works Inc. and Alfred M. Zeien of the Gillette Co.
