Abraham K.K.L. Ching-Chow, 56, of Waianae died Sept. 6 at home. Born in Honolulu, he is survived by wife Primrose; sons Norman, Nathan and Albert; daughters Nadine King, Nannette Burgess and Tina Faagai; brothers Henry Chow, Joseph Ching and James Lima; and 11 grandchildren. Barbara J.T.M. Harris, 60, of Anchorage, Alaska, a Honolulu Community Action Program worker, died Aug. 12. Born in Waialua, she is survived by husband John D.; sons John J. III, Robert J., Kevin A. Sr., Kyle B.S. and Lindsay E.K. McGuire; daughters Leslie A. Pearl, Anne G.S.M. Travis and Johnelle M. Lippert; father Meiichi Terukina; brothers Benjamin, Kenneth and Robert Terukina; sisters Dorothy Oga, Doris Rivera, Anne Lopez and Naomi Mark; 28 plus grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Amy K. McCrea, 19, of Aiea, died Sept. 13 in Tripler Hospital. Born on Okinawa, she is survived by parents Larry and Kozue; brother Aaron; paternal grandmother Elsye; maternal grandmother Setsuko Yamasaki. Gladys M. Mizuno, 74, of Honolulu died Friday in Queen’s Hospital. Born in Honolulu, she is survived by husband Takeo; son Michael T.; daughter Sandra S. Lee; brothers Fumihiko, Gary T., Norrie and Thomas Nakatani; sisters Fumiko Shimoda, Carol Y. Ishii, Elsie H. Young, Dorothy K. Inouye and Myrtle M. Matsumura; and six grandchildren. Anne H. Myers, 85, of Honolulu, former Kamehameha Schools teacher, died Aug. 31. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she is survived by sisters Marie Verron and Virginia Lee. Charles M. Okamoto, 76, of Paia, Maui, a U.S. Department of Agriculture retiree, died last Friday in Maui Memorial Hospital. Noboru “Wallace” Oshiro, 75, of Honolulu, a retired city mason, died Sept. 14 in Honolulu. Faifaimalie T. Papalagi, 55, of Honolulu, a carpenter for AMPCO Pacific, died Friday in Kuakini Hospital. He is survived by wife Mealefu; sons Kalati, Alatasi, Reggie, Tom, Niualele, Francis, Joey and Patrick; daughters Emaline and Molly; brothers Toloa, Nuufou and Faatonu Timalu; sisters Sene Pupu, Christina Tiumalu and Nise Tupuola; and four grandchildren. Leonido R. “Nene” Papas, 73, of Ewa Beach, a Barbers Point Naval Air Station retiree, died Sept. 10 in St. Francis-West Hospital.
