Hawaii Theatre celebrates its 75th birthday Saturday with a street festival by day and a concert by night. 75 years young
Here's the lineup:
Street fair: Craft and food booths, entertainment by KINE radio, mini-tours of the theater, from noon to 5 p.m. on Bethel Street in front of the theater and on adjacent downtown streets.
Chinatown Gateway Park: Hilton Hawaiian Village Color Guard, Hula Ho'o'kupu and lion dance, 7 p.m.
Organ recital: A mini-concert on the 1922 Robert Morton Unified Orchestral Theatre Organ, 7:30 p.m. in the theater.
Birthday concert: Tony Conjugacion, Nina Keali'iwahamana Rapozo, Cathy Foy, Nola Nahulu, Beebe Freitas, Quinn Kelsey and Hawaii Opera Theatre Chorus perform, 8 p.m.
Concert tickets are $25 and $50, including a post-concert dessert party at First Hawaiian Tower. Call 528-0506.
The annual Queen's Seranade, commemorating the birthday of Queen Lili'uokalani, takes place Saturday outside 'Iolani Palace. Another birthday ...
The free program begins at 5 p.m. and includes the premiere of a musical tribute to the queen by composer James Wong, performed by the Royal Hawaiian Band. Also performing: Slack-key artist George Kahumoku Jr., Willy K & Amy, and Aunty Genoa Keawe, as well as ukulele and hula troupes. Call 522-0822.

The Variety Club of Hawai'i recognizes Noland in a 9:30 a.m. hand-printing ceremony. Performers include Native Hawaiian Band, Sudden Rush and Tony Conjugacion.
