Snyder heads all of the Marriott Lodging operations in Hawaii which also includes the guest rooms and time share units at the Kauai Marriott Resort and Beach Club, and the Maui Marriott Resort.
"It's the signal for our industry. In the past year, there has been a significant amount of consolidation," Snyder said.
He has 20 years hospitality industry experience and for the past 21/2 years has been general manager of the Kauai Marriott Resort and Beach Club. He first joined Marriott in 1976 as a bellman at the Newport Beach Marriott in California. He also has worked for Marriott in New York, Florida, Panama, Mexico and London.
Snyder earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University at Long Beach.
