Alana K. Aukai, infant daughter of Danny Aukai and Marisa White of Kona died July 13 in Honolulu. She is also survived by grandparents Roy and Donna Aukai and Tina White and Harold Chang. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Hale Halawai O‘Holualoa Church, Kailua Kona. Aloha attire.

Emma P. Bessho, 100, of Kailua died Tuesday at home. Born in Plymouth, England, she is survived by daughter Natalie Oda; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services: 5:30 p.m. today at Kailua United Methodist Church. No flowers. Donations suggested to Kailua United Methodist Church or Windward Seniors Day Care Center, Kailua.

David P. Broderick, 83, of Portland, Ore., who was born in Waipio, died Aug. 13 in Portland. He was an executive with Oahu Railway & Land Co., Young Brothers Tug & Barge and Dillingham Tug & Barge of the Pacific Northwest. He is survived by wife Thora; son Clifton; brother Crockett “Speed”; and three grandchildren. Scattering of ashes on the mainland.

Rachael C. Clarke, 87, of Santa Rosa, Calif., formerly of Kaneohe, died Sunday. Born on Hawaii, she is survived by daughter Alicia Silva; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services on the mainland.

Robert E. Emerson, 76, of Honolulu died Tuesday in Kaiser Hospital. Born in Massachusetts, he is survived by wife Shirley; daughter Jeanette Mitobe; sons Robert M. and Lewis E.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Private services.

Ioane Kaio, 71, of Waipahu died July 29 at home. Born in Malaeloa, American Samoa, he is survived by wife Titipa; sons Vaai I., Faauliuli, Soa‘ai, Iuni, Sefulu and Seuao I.; daughters Utumalefata and Sa; brother Tafiaina; sister Saileone Isaia; and 21 grandchildren. Mary L. Lee, 71, of Honolulu died Friday in Oahu Care Facility. Born in Honolulu, she is survived by son Joe Buck; daughters Pie Cordeiro, Kuulei Stalcup, Caren Lee Kodama, Gail Kelley, Diane Moniz and Elaine Pomaikai; brothers Samuel, Artemus, Solomon and Abraham Naone and Sonny, Richard and Henry Kahaleiwai; sisters Maryann K. Johnson, Jessie Cavaco and Abigail Kahaleiwai; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Sunday at Diamond Head Mortuary. Call after 1 p.m.

Faaigaelo T. Moananu, 74, of Ewa Beach, a retired U.S. Marine Corps staff sergeant, died Aug. 12 in Queen’s Hospital. Born in American Samoa, he is survived by wife Tenemane; sons Ellis, Tafu, Faaigaelo Jr., Bingham, Jeff and Victor; daughters Sosefina and Ala and Vaioafao Tuitele, Easter Gate, Anita Iamaleava, Jacinta L. Moananu, Rosalie Tuuao, Alice Tiai and Johanna Moananu; sisters Sina Lemusu, Fuatino Faumuina, Safotu Ulu, Seia Harmon and Vaipo; brothers Amani Mauga, Fetapai Letua, Tagaloa Vae, Vaitafe Moananu and Konelio Tagaloa; and 30 grandchildren. Wake: 3 p.m. Sunday at Ola Fou Mo Iesu Church, 87-227 St. Johns Road, Waianae. Overnight vigil to follow. Services: 8 a.m. Monday at the church. Seichi Ota, 84, of Honolulu, a retired carpenter, died Aug. 13 in Queen’s Hospital. Born in Papaaloa, North Hilo, he is survived by wife Jean Y.; son James; daughters Dorothy Yoshii and Arlene McLean; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Private services.

Virginia M. Surface, 87, of Waipahu and formerly of Dayton, Ohio, died Saturday. Born in Dayton, she is survived by son Stephen; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services on the mainland.

Yoshie Teramoto, 82, of Honolulu died last Thursday in Honolulu. Born in Kainalui, Hawaii, she is survived by sons Norman H. and Kenneth K.; daughters Vivien M. Keliiaa, Sally I. Teramoto and Eleanor A. Lau; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Private services.

Ezekiel H. Wakinekona, 72, of Wahiawa is also survived by brother Ray Mendez and sister Hazel Matias. Additional information for an obituary Tuesday provided by the mortuary.

Patsy E. Yoshioka, 79, of Waipahu died Aug. 13 in St. Francis-West Hospital. Born in Ewa, she is survived by husband Richard S.; sons Joji and Howard S.; daughters May S. Abe, Joyce H. Tome and Carolyn A. Yoshioka; brothers Toraki, Keikichi, Kichizo and Larry Kurashima; sisters Jane Malterre, Betsy Zakahi, Amy Akamine and Rachel Kurashima; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
