each representing a different island.

Ribbons ready
for festivals

As its royal court investiture takes place this evening, the Aloha Festivals unveils its ribbons for 1997.

The ribbons, at $5 a piece, go on sale Aug. 18 and allows holders to attend festivals events free or at a discount price.

There is one ribbon representing each of the islands: blue for Niihau, red for the Big Island, yellow for Oahu, green for Molokai, pink for Maui, gray for Kahoolawe, orange for Lanai and purple for Kauai.

The ribbons are available at the Bishop Museum and Mission Houses Museum; Safeway, Times and Star supermarkets; Pearlridge Shopping Center; Aloha Surf, Hilton Hawaiian, Hyatt Regency Waikiki, Pacific Beach, Royal Garden, Waikiki Beachcomber, Waikiki Parc, Kauai Coconut Beach, Kiahuna Plantation Resort, Lae Nani Resort, Outrigger Kauai Beach, Princeville and Waimea Plantation Cottages hotels and other locations.
