It’s time to reverse
America’s decline

This country's drift away from
Judeo-Christian tenets threatens to
destroy our once-great society

The horror of Bongak "Jackie" Koja's death brings home how vulnerable we all have become to predators, especially as activist judges favor probation over prison.

(Koja, 59, was murdered last month as she took a daily early morning walk near her Wahiawa home. Frank Charles Janto, a man with an extensive criminal record including three felonies, has been charged in the slaying.)

America is prosperous and beautiful on the outside, but like "whited sepulchers," filled with decaying rot within. It's time to reverse the downhill slide. We are destroying ourselves.

In 1962, prayer was removed from the schools, then the Bible, the bulwark of our foundation. The religion of "humanism" was instituted following the pattern in the former Soviet Union. Since the union was dissolved, Russia has reinstituted Biblical teaching in its schools.

The revered Thomas Jefferson once said, "Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God?"

Aligned with evolution, humanism has led us to the turmoil of today's society and denigration of human life. There will be more Mrs. Kojas unless we reverse course.

Our schools are turning out illiterate, brutish young criminals and sexual predators.

Humanism (godlessness) is the belief that man can progress, by reason, to a better and better world.

A better world? I hear the eerie cackling of the 100 million cadavers of this bloodiest of centuries.

Evolution has produced Nazism, Fascism and Marxism, and is advocated by the Socialists in our midst.

France's renowned scientist, editor of their Britannica, Dr. Paul Lemoine, says, "Evolution is a fairy tale for adults."

A member of the Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. T.N. Tahmisian, physiologist, calls it "perhaps the greatest hoax ever."

Its major proponent, Dr. Steven Gould, is a Marxist. Evolution suits the political agenda of the left, creating, as it does hopelessness.

America's parents have been duped into embracing an educational system destined to turn our loveless, self-indulgent people to fit the goals of the social engineers and intellectual elites.

There is something very wrong when young people enter college unable to read or write, but often are proficient with guns.

For 200 years this nation followed Judeo-Christian principles, of which the highest is love, which made us the greatest nation in history.

The experts have failed after 30 years, and we are paying an enormous price in death, sexual disease and friction in families. The young suffer from anger and resentment as the ground has been cut from under them.

There are flickers of hope that attitudes are changing. The Promise Keepers, groups of men who meet by the thousands all over the country, are renewing their commitment to God, country and family; they are breaking the barriers of race.

There is yet time to reverse course and concentrate on the children, giving them love and discipline in balance.

They are lost in a sea of drugs and sex before their time. God intended that children be nurtured by loving parents until adulthood, not by textbook "experts."

Let's return to the American tradition, and turn out youngsters to be proud of -- not candidates for the prison system.
