








LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Royden Heirakuji of Makawao, Maui, Damien Jamila of Waimanalo and Del-Marc Fujita of Honolulu advanced to match-play competition in the U.S. Amateur Public Links Golf Championship yesterday. Three advance to
Public Links match playHeirakuji led Hawaii's qualifiers with a 36-hole score of 142.
Jamila finished with a 144 and Fujita came in at 148, but had to win a playoff to move on.
Trip Kuehne of Dallas led the qualifying with a 134.
Hawaii participants who did not qualify included Jonathan Ota of Lihue (148), former champion Guy Yamamoto of Waipahu (149), Ronn Miyashiro of Hilo (149), Jay Kurisu of Wailuku (151), Lance Taketa of Hilo (155), Patrick Silva of Wailuku (155) and Stan Kua of Lihue (155).
MOVERS WIN: Brian Fearnow, a 6-foot-6, 215-pound right-hander from Stanford, struck out 11 and scattered three hits to lead the Hawaii Island Movers to a 6-1 exhibition baseball victory over the Hawaii Islanders at Rainbow Stadium last night.
Scott Martines' RBI triple in the fifth inning highlighted the Movers' nine-hit attack. Dane Sardinha's run-scoring single broke up Fearnow's shutout bid, driving in Cory Korenaga in the sixth.
The Movers continue play at 6 tonight against Team Honolulu.
THIS WEEK IN RACING: Hawaii Raceway Park will have drag-racing action tonight starting at 6 p.m. and Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 6 p.m., 4 p.m. and 9 a.m., respectively.

TENNIS TEACHER CERTIFICATION: The United States Professional Tennis Registry will conduct a tennis teacher certification workshop Saturday and Sunday at the Ihilani Resort.
The workshop is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday. Certification testing begins immediately after the Sunday session.

INOUE TO DEFEND TITLE: Egan Inoue of Honolulu will defend his world championship in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the second annual Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Championships in Rio de Janeiro July 26-27.
Inoue was the silver medalist in the recent Pan American Games and is the Hawaii Jiu-Jitsu champion in the 190-pound weight class.
