Wahine Surfing Classic: China Uemura produces this first annual classic benefiting the Kapiolani Hospital's Sex Abuse Treatment Center, June 28-29, Queens surfing site in Waikiki. "Relay for Life": Ten-member teams needed for the HMSA-sponsored benefit for the American Cancer Society. Teams will take turns walking, running, dancing (or any other forward motion) around a track to collect a minimum goal of $1,000 per team. Entertainment includes Nohelani Cypriano and her mother Leina'ala Simerson, Nalani Olds, Jesse Rivera, "TSB," Down South Connection and performers from "Legends in Concert." There also will be free health screenings, free on-site testings for cholesterol, diabetes and body fat percentages, visits by McGruff and magician Alan Arita, children's games, craft booths, bingo, line dancing, hula aerobics, door prizes and snacks.
