When 3-year-old Kenny Neal was crying at his daddy's knee, family friend and blues legend Slim Harpo stuck a harmonica in his mouth. Neal hasn't cried since. He mastered the "harp," moved on to guitar and became a budding blues legend himself. Here come those blues again
In the early '80s, Neal moved to Canada and fronted the Downchild Blues Band, then struck out on his own. In 1991, he was named Most Outstanding New Talent On and Off Broadway for his work in the revue "Mule Bone." He has also toured with B.B. King, Bonnie Raitt and Muddy Waters.
