tourney makes a comebackThe event will have junior men's (19 and under) teams from Inha University (South Korea), Team Alberta (Canada), NIKE USA and Team Hawaii.
The round-robin event will provide Hawaii's young volleyball players a great opportunity to showcase and develop their skills.
The Hawaii roster includes Scott Wong (UCLA), Craig Gamble, Dylan Fern and Koa Ostrem (UCLA) from Punahou, Clay Stanley (UH) from Kaiser, Elijah Neverdon (UH) and Mike Wilton (BYU) from University High School, Milo Hannenberg from Kapaa, Justin Oleole from Pearl City, Trapper Perkins and Jacob Pacarro from Kamehameha, Adam Black (CS Northridge) from Mililani, Caleb Fetui (UH) from McKinley, Matt Dennison from Waianae and Jake Harris (UC Santa Barbara) from Seabury Hall.
Head coaches Mike Among and Damien Hardy are assisted by Melvin Mulligan.
STE MARIE, HORNER QUALIFY: Two former Hawaii golfers, Nadia Ste Marie, who played for the University of Hawaii, and Nicole Horner of Mililani qualified yesterday for the U.S. Women's Open July 10-13 at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains, Ore.
Ste Marie shot a 70 to share medalist honors with Page Dunlap at the qualifying in West Palm Beach, Fla.,.
Horner, who now resides in Mesa, Ariz., carded a 73 to claim the fifth and last qualifying spot at Lincoln, Calif.
KANSAI BEATS MOVERS: At Kyoto, Japan, the Kansai Big Six All-Stars won both ends of a doubleheader with the Hawaii Island Movers yesterday, 10-7 and 4-3.
Fletcher Lee pitched a complete game in the opener, but Kansai put the game away with a four-run sixth inning.
Chad Ohira had four hits, including a home run and two RBIs, Jaime Aloy had three RBIs and Lars Hansen hit a two-run homer.
The Movers managed just three hits in the second game, called after six innings due to a time limit. Hansen had two RBIs.
D'OLIER, WILLIAMSON IN: Justin D'Olier and Ryan Williamson qualified in the West Coast Trials held in Seattle in May for the six-week United States Canoe and Kayak Summer Developmental Camp at the Lake Placid (N.Y.) Olympic Training Center.
D'Olier won the K-1 and K-2 (along with Williamson) in the Juvenile Division, while Williamson placed third in the K-1.
After the camp, they will go to the U.S. Nationals in Gainesville, Ga., July 30-Aug. 3.
BENEFIT GOLF TOURNAMENT: The Ewa Beach Clubhouse of the Boys and Girls Club of Honolulu will hold its third annual fund-raising golf tournament Friday at the Ewa Beach Golf Club.
The fee is $100 per person for the three-person 1-2 best-ball event. Registration is at 11:30 a.m. followed by a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start.

NISSAN HONORS: The Nissan Hawaii High School Hall of Honor Athletic Scholarship Program inducted 12 prep athletes recently at a banquet at the Ilikai Hotel.
Each winner receives a $2,000 college scholarship and other mementos of the occasion.
