She formerly was director of resource management and regulatory affairs at the California and Hawaiian Sugar Co. Ltd. based in Crockett, Calif.
"I've been doing this at C & H for a few years (eight) and a lot of the same issues are involved," Stevens said.
In her new job, Stevens will report to the presidents of both A&B-Hawaii Inc. and C&H. She joined C&H in 1978 as a chemist, and became manager of environmental compliance in 1992.
Stevens earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Missouri, and two master's degrees: in environmental science from the University of San Francisco and in analytical chemistry from the University of Missouri.
