"Overhauling our billing system will take 18 months; it should be completely on line by July 1, 1998," Harris said. "There will be more integration and it eliminates duplications."
He has more than 20 years' experience as a hospital financial executive, most recently at the Morton Plant Mease Health Care complex in Clearwater, Fla. He also has worked at Mercy Health Care Arizona in Phoenix, United Medical Center in Moline, Ill., Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita, Kan., and St. Luke's Hospital in Davenport, Iowa.
Harris earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from St. Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa.
