Beach babies wanted: Babies ages 6 to 36 months are wanted for McDonald's Beach Baby Contest. The baby dressed in the best beach wear and who has the best personality, overall appearance and "most creative beach baby theme," will win prizes at the BayFest '97 on July 20. "Grinds For the Mind": State-wide summer reading program for teens entering Grade 7-12. Teens receive weekly incentives for books read from June 8-July 26. Register at a public library and fill out reading logs. End of program prizes include shopping spree drawings of $1,000, $500 and $250. Neighbor island winners will be flown in.
"Read ... Let Your Mind Soar!": 1997 children's statewide summer reading program for children who will be in preschool through sixth grade in the fall. Seven-week program offers weekly incentives. Register at a public library. From June through July. Call 586-3620.
