TOKYO -- Akebono remained in second place today, one victory behind fellow yokozuna (grand champion) Takanohana, after defeating ozeki (champion) Musashimaru in a showdown of Hawaii wrestlers at the 15-day Summer Grand Sumo Tournament. Akebono throws out
MusashimaruAkebono, or Chad Rowan, improved to 11-2 while Musashimaru, or Fiamalu Penitani, slipped to 9-4 .
Takanohana (12-1) slammed Mitoizumi.
Konishiki, or Salevaa Atisanoe from Hawaii (8-5), and Yamato, or George Kalima from Hawaii (6-7), also won today.
