TOKYO -- Takanohana stayed one victory ahead of fellow yokozuna (grand champion) Akebono today with four days left in the 15-day Summer Grand Sumo Tournament. Yokozuna 1-2

Akebono, or Chad Rowan from Hawaii, was at 9-2 after pulling down Kotonishiki.
At 8-3 were six wrestlers, including Musashimaru, or Fiamalu Penitani from Hawaii, who bulldozed out Takatoriki.
Konishiki, or Salevaa Atisanoe from Hawaii, sent out Hamanoshima for a 7-4 record.
Yamato, or George Kalima from Hawaii, improved to 5-6 by drove out Chiyotaikai.
