Legislative info
at your fingertips

Here's the secret to government in Hawaii that hardly anyone knows about - the Legislative Reference Bureau at http://www.hawaii.gov/lrb/.

Just like the real facility, the Web site is a treasure trove of information for those who need to quickly get the information about local government.

For instance, if you need to check what the just concluded state Legislature did to or for you, go to http://www.hawaii.gov/lrb/passed/pssddoc.html, for descriptions of everything that passed. There is also a facility to download the entire legislative product into your computer.

Also at http://www.hawaii.gov/lrb/con/condoc.html, you can downlaod your own copy of the state Constitution, a document which is hard to come by in state government.

Finally, at the bottom of its home page, the reference bureau maintains a telnet link to the Legislature's ACCESS bulletin board.

If you have a telnet application -- one is included in the Windows '95 software -- anyone, even those out of state, can browse the ACCESS site via the Internet.
