Securing an electronic future

Mychal Kempt, the new Pacific area general manager for Diebold Inc., is proud of the security job done for the First Hawaiian Center. And he wants to do more business with automated tellers.

"We want to grow our electronic retail delivery system business in the financial marketplace and continue our strong growth in residential and commercial electronic security business," Kempt said.

Kempt has eight years in the security business, the last four with Diebold. He also worked for Honeywell and Cardkey Systems.

Kempt is a graduate of Aloha High School in Aloha, Ore. and earned a bachelor's degree in sports management at Montana State University.

Diebold, based in Canton, Ohio, provides card-based transaction systems, security and service solutions to the financial, education and health-care industries.
