Knights blank Cougars,
gain share of first place

In a battle between two of the top baseball teams in the Oahu Interscholastic Association's Eastern Division, a wild pitch and some extra hustle proved to the the difference yesterday.

Castle (5-1) edged visiting Kaiser (5-1), 1-0, to gain a share of first place. Also at 5-1 is Roosevelt, a 13-4 winner over Kalani yesterday.

Kaiser and Roosevelt face off tomorrow at Aloha Stadium, at 7 p.m.

The Knights' run came in the second inning. Kalani Cathcart doubled to lead off the inning, then scored all the way from second base on a wild pitch to the next batter.
