The festivities will include a tour of the center, dinner, a dance and an alumni tent show.

Food and fashions will be featured at the fund-raiser, "Pleasures in Paradise: A Luau Extravaganza," May 3 at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. Luau pleasures
The event is a benefit for the Associated Chinese University Women scholarship fund.
Boutiques will sell clothing, accessories, hand-crafted items and art, and a country store, garden shop and lei stands will open at 8:30 a.m. The luau and program will begin at 11:15 a.m. There also will be a silent auction.
Tickets are $40; gold sponsorship with ramp-side seating is $600 for a table of 10.

The 5th annual Filipino Fiesta and Parade takes place 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 3 at Kapiolani Park. The theme this year's is "The Philippine Centennial." Filipino celebration
A community health fair will be held in conjunction with the fiesta. There will be testing for blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, glaucoma, thyroid, gout and other conditions along with health education information and demonstrations.
The fiesta will feature foods from various regions in the Philippines; cultural programs such as paintings, arts and crafts, martial arts and prized roosters; and entertainment.
The parade will begin at 9 a.m. at the Ewa end of Ala Moana park, down Ala Moana Boulevard, through Waikiki on Kalakaua to Kapiolani Park.

Singer-composer-chanter Keali'i Reichel will perform with O'Brien Eselu at 10:15 p.m. May 15 at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Eselu is a kumu hula and recording artist. Reichel in concert
The concert will take place during the 5th World Fire Knife Dance Competition at the center.

Admission and parking is free.
There will be live entertainment, food booths, miniature golf, a country store selling fresh flowers and produce and craft sales.
