Gemmell shines for Kahuku

Kahuku's Frances Gemmell scored 18 of her game-high 20 points in the first half to help the Red Raiders to a 51-46 Eastern Division victory over Roosevelt in an Oahu Interscholastic Association girls' basketball game.

Kapu'u Tavete added 10 of her 14 points after intermission as Kahuku held off a rally by the Rough Riders, who was led by Valerie Seagrave's 16 points.
