In fact, plenty of tickets remain for the Saturday doubleheader and the Sunday single game between the National League teams.
As of last Saturday, 24,934 tickets have been sold for the April 19 twi-nighter, which leaves 16,842 remaining.
For the April 20 single game, 29,174 have been sold, leaving 12,796 available.
"They're moving steadily," said Aloha Stadium spokesman Les Keiter.
The games between two of last season's National League playoff teams will be the first regular-season major-league games ever played in Hawaii.
"The eyes of the baseball world will be on Honolulu," Padres president and CEO Larry Lucchino said yesterday. "What we want them to see is a full Aloha Stadium."
The Sunday game will be nationally televised on ESPN.
Tickets for both dates are available at the Aloha Stadium box office, which is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
