It is staring you in the face, refusing to budge or even twitch. The April 15 tax deadline will not slip or fade, so you better bear down. Sites make filing
tax returns easierThe Web overflows with good tax sites, although none are offering the free money to pay the state and federal government.
Start with the detailed Yahoo tax page at http://www.yahoo.com/Government/Taxes/. From this location you will be able to download a printable form to prepare tax reports for almost all state and federal taxes.
There are also a number of articles to help you prepare your taxes so they will not trigger an audit.
Hawaii also has a site, http://www.hawaii.gov/tax/96forms.html, for tax forms. It also requires that you have a copy of Adobe Acrobat to reproduce the forms. That isn't a big deal because you can download a free copy by clicking on the "Get Acrobat" icon. This will link you to the Adobe web site, where step-by-step instructions are available.
There is, however, only so much you can do to make taxes simple. You still have to understand and pay them.
